Hello & Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the barter’d community, to everyone who has found us.

You might have googled ‘swap’ or ‘barter’ and that means you must have a genuine interest in barter, the barter economy and freeing yourself from the confines of cash ( if you want to lean more abut our idea check out our about us page). Perhaps you are here, because you like the concept,  because you want to extend the lifespan of your disposable income.  Perhaps because you have a skill you would like to improve or because you want to help someone in your community, whatever the reason – welcome.

Who we Are

Barter’d is a not for profit community project based in the South West, operated by a small team working together to help people get what they need without being limited to money. Helping people reach out to others in their community to ask for help, develop their skills , recycle and make friends. We have been raising money to build this website and developing it over the last three years so that you can use it for free, and hopefully get a better quality of life from it. It’s now live as of Sept 2023 and we shall see where it takes us.

If you have created a profile, added your wants and needs and a picture then you will also be aware you are one of the first, and may be at the cutting edge of bartering! If not, head over to our home page and set up your profile.

Our database is growing but until you have enough people to swap with in your area, hold tight and keep checking in for blog updates, people are joining each week. And If you would like that pool of people offering skills,  items, trade and favours within your reach quickly,  please do let as many people know about barter’d as possible.
